After-school programs affordable child care and continuing education are LISC priorities.

Sustainable Communities rely on a wide range of educational and family services. A child’s success begins with a positive educational experience. Working families relay on job training and other vocational opportunities to build skills, improve income and break the cycle of poverty.

LISC’s Rhode Island Child Care Facilities Fund (RICCFF) has made major strides in expanding access to quality child care and early education. And, LISC’s AmeriCorps program, which offers leadership development opportunities for members placed with CDCs across the state, focuses on after-school and youth programs.
