Sustainable Communities must offer their residents an environment that enhances their health, enjoyment and overall sense of well-being. This includes everything from safe streets to parks and playing fields to community centers and environmentally sound design.

While all LISC programs work toward the creation of communities that are good places to live, work and raise a family -- LISC’s Community Safety Initiative brings a specific focus on promoting strategic alliances between community developers and law enforcement to reduce crime and spur revitalization of troubled neighborhoods.
